Marketing Lure to Quantify the Costs of Bad Grammar in Business
New five-question survey will measure how writing influences buyer behaviors
DOWNERS GROVE, IL, January 27, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Despite the fact that the national ACT English scores have held steady for the past 10 years, many experts are concerned about the long-term effects that texting and sites like Twitter will have on our writing skills. One typographical error in a resume can be the kiss of death for a job hunter, but can writing errors also hurt businesses? That is the question Marketing Lure will answer in their new survey launched one week ago.
"The survey has already sparked interest on several social networking sites including LinkedIn, bizSugar, and Ryze," says Marketing Lure owner and writer Sue Anderson-Lenz. "It's clear that opinions are strong, but nowhere have I found hard data that proves or disproves the correlation between grammar and business. Superficial evidence suggests that grammar matters, but without an actual survey to measure results, the debate will continue to be nebulous at best."
The brief five-question survey measures how writing errors influence buying decisions, and whether opinions vary for different mediums. Survey respondents will have the option to remain completely anonymous, or submit their e-mail address to receive survey results. Follow this link to take the survey now:

Marketing Lure will keep the survey open until February 28, 2010. Findings will be published in their company blog (http://blog.marketinglure.com) during the March/April timeframe.
